Gilbert Cellars produces world-class wines from our vineyards near Mattawa and Wiley City, Washington. The Gilbert family began farming in the fertile Yakima Valley in 1897 and our tree-fruit company, Gilbert Orchards, is a prominent grower, packer, and shipper in Yakima today. Our commitment to the sustainability of agricultural land in Central Washington now includes a passion for producing delicious wine.
Established in 1991, Tefft Cellars Winery in eastern Washington’s Yakima Valley, the heart of the Columbia Valley’s wine country, has produced high quality wine in a manner that respects the process and makes it fun for those stopping by to taste their wine. In addition to the tasting room, visitors have the option of staying at the completely renovated “Outlook Inn Guest House” at Tefft Cellars, which is available for rent for the weekend, a week or longer. A stay at our cozy villa will be sure to make your stay in Washington wine country more enjoyable and comfortable.
Delightfully located in a hillside cherry orchard minutes from downtown Yakima, and Washington Wine Country. Relax in spacious rooms, with custom-made queen beds, bathrooms jetted tubs. The separate B&B entrance offers a cozy living room with a fine library of books on travel, wine, cuisine, fishing, music, novels, and German-language books.
At the Cozy Rose Inn Bed and Breakfast, you’ll find warm sunshine and a country setting where you can take walks through the family vineyards and orchards, or just relax and renew yourselves in this park-like setting. Our restaurants are located in Leavenworth and Wenatchee, Washington. Both of our locations feature award winning wine selections of both Italian and local wines. Paul learned something about making wines from Uncle Howard. His dad also made wine. Paul watched, and checked out Europe for more clues. While still in training Paul met me (Marilyn) after I fell off a passing comet. Paul was slow and our romance languished for 20 years until 1973 after which we had 3 boys and nearly located in California, but went to Central Washington State instead.
