For our dinners, Abby will match Finger Lakes wines with their counterparts from elsewhere in the world. Three of the chefs will conduct private cooking classes.

For 30 years Heron Hill Winery has grown cold-climate Riesling and Chardonnay grapes and made elegant world-class wines on a slate hill overlooking scenic Keuka Lake in the Finger Lakes region of western New York. Enjoy the views from our magnificent vaulted Tasting Hall, as you taste our portfolio of Rieslings, Chardonnays, Vinifera reds, and our popular Eclipse Series. Taste the Ingle Vineyard series as well as our Late Harvest and Icewines at our Premium Bar. Heron Hill has garnered numerous awards for its wines, including “Best of Show- White Wine” at the San Francisco International Wine Competition.
You can enjoy our award winning wines while overlooking the vineyard, the cherry orchard and Cayuga Lake. Sample jellies, preserves, butters, hot sauces, mustards, and salsas. You are invited to relax and stay a while on our grounds; linger in our rocking chairs on our front porch, or picnic on our grounds. In June and July, you may also pick sweet and tart cherries from our orchard.

Located in the heart of the Historic District, the Inn is a short walk to shops, restaurants, historical sites, as well as breathtaking Canandaigua Lake. The Inn is decorated in many period furnishings reminiscent of days gone by and boasts bold, carved fireplaces in the dining room and parlor. Enjoy our full breakfast; walk the spacious foyer featuring a majestic oak split staircase; enjoy tea or coffee accompanied by freshly-baked pastries in the parlor, foyer or upstairs sitting area.
As pioneers in the boutique New York wine industry, the Lucas’ nautical wines- Tug Boat Red, Tug Boat White, Dry Dock, Blues and Captain’s Belle- kept the winery afloat in the early days. A lot has changed since then. Currently, Owner Ruth Lucas releases medal-winning Methodé Champenoise Champagnes, traditional European varieties including Chardonnay, Gewurztraminer, Riesling, Cabernet Franc and Pinot Noir, as well as French American varietals in addition to the seven nautical wines.
