Our team at Matanzas Creek Winery builds on our quarter-century heritage as we continue to develop the Bennett Valley as the preeminent source of Merlot in North America. Today, our wine portfolio includes traditional varietal wines sourced from Estate-owned Sonoma County vineyards and a collection of limited production wines that reflect our vineyard management and winemaking team’s most valiant efforts.
Owned by the Ferrer family, whose wine experience is rooted in 19th century Spain, our winery is a vibrant blend of Catalan and California mission design. We cultivate fruit for our premium quality sparkling and still wines in our 335 acres of estate vineyards distinguished by warm days, cool nights, summer fog and a long growing season that coaxes grapes to maturity slowly and consistently, with balanced sugar and acidity.
Six generations of the Bundschu family have farmed our estate vineyard at the southernmost tip of Sonoma Valley. We’ve been enjoying the beauty of the site and the exquisite character of its wines for 150 years, and invite you to spend a few hours getting to know the place, the wines, and the people that make Gundlach Bundschu unique.
Specializing in high quality Chardonnay, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon from great vineyard sources in the Sonoma and Napa valleys, Charles Creek produces wines that are food friendly, fruit driven, and easily paired with the courses of a meal. Since its inception, Charles Creek has garnered numerous awards for its groundbreaking approach to crafting wines.
Arrowood wines are produced using grapes exclusively from Sonoma County in order to utilize and intensify the broad array of flavors that the vineyards here provide. We do this with a “non-interventional” approach, doing as little as possible to the wine – enhancing what Mother Nature provides with the judicious use of oak aging and layering of flavors based upon the terroir of a given vineyard. Sonoma County’s agricultural bounty has given us all the tools; we hope you will enjoy how we make use of them in hand-crafting Arrowood wines.
From our family to yours, we invite you to visit our Kunde Estate Tasting Room in the heart of Sonoma County’s spectacular Valley of the Moon. Constructed as a replica of the original Kinneybrook Ranch cattle barn, which stood on this land for more than a century, our Tasting Room is surrounded by our estate vineyards, a shaded picnic area nestled under majestic valley oaks, and reflecting pool and fountains.
We specialize in small varietal lots that reflect the genuine diversity of our select vineyards and appellations. We invite you to visit our winery, enjoy our wines in one of six beautifully appointed tasting bars, browse our gift shop, stock up on local artisan foods at our gourmet marketplace and enjoy the vineyard and mountain views while picnicking in the shade of our century-old, heritage oak trees.
At Kenwood, grapes from Sonoma County’s finest vineyards get the attention they deserve. The harvest from each vineyard is handled separately within the winery to preserve its individuality. This small lot winemaking allows our winemaker, Pat Henderson, to bring each lot of wine to its fullest potential. In the California tradition, Kenwood Vineyards produces a full line of premium quality varietal wines including Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Zinfandel, Pinot Noir and Merlot.
Hanna Winery offers two tasting rooms in Sonoma county with friendly, knowledgable staff offering a wide variety of Hanna wines in beautiful settings. The first of these is a Mediterranean style tasting room (address above) sits atop a knoll overlooking our “Red Ranch” vineyard and Alexander Valley. A stunning wrap-around veranda is the perfect place to enjoy the view while sipping our award winning wines. The vineyard is home to our flagship Cabernet and Merlot.
The imaginative and unusual setting attracted retailers and producers with a true appreciation for the environment in which they choose to operate, incorporating an eclectic collection of shops and wine tasting rooms, as well as a café and marketplace skirting nine-acres of artfully designed gardens and private event spaces.
