Meet Merlot, the Perdeberg zebra - you might recognise him from our wine label! He is more than just a zebra, he’s an important member of our family and something of a mascot to us - symbolising our heritage, our love for the land, and most importantly: the uniqueness of our wines.
After visiting the vineyard, the visitors are taken on a tour of the wine cellar where every facet of the winemaking process is discussed. The tour then culminates in a wine tasting where the finest wines that the Estate has to offer can be tasted in the rustic elegance of the “Old Cellar” or in the Lapa. During the tasting, visitors will be shown the various ways in which wine is to be evaluated and will no doubt leave the Estate feeling like true wine buffs.
Our cottage dates from the early 1800’s and was recently fully restored and upgraded. It is located in our private game reserve at Oude Denneboom, which is a working farm in the Voor-Paardeberg wine ward near Paarl, where we grow wine grapes, olives, citrus and wheat. We are proud of what we can offer and you will experience a very special tranquil atmosphere in beautiful surroundings. At night you will be able to see the stars without any light pollution and it will be wonderfully quiet, except for the sounds of nature.
We offer a full sumptuous country breakfast of all your favorites in our cosy Cape Dutch dining room. Our secluded pool area and sun terrace are ideal for summer relaxation. We are surrounded by world class golf courses in Paarl, Somerset West and Stellenbosch. Horse riding on nearby wine farms can be arranged.
Noble Hill is a precision vineyard and non-intervention winery tucked between Kanonkop & Paarl Mountain in South Africa.
