“Enoteca Regionale del Roero” is located in Canale d’Alba, a quiet town with a few examples of the fine architecture known throughout the region. The restaurant itself is located on the bottom floor of the regional wine center which is in a 19th century building in the middle of town. The cuisine is modern Italian; but better appreciated for the dining experience as a whole, rather than via any particular aspect. The stock of vintage wines, available by the glass or bottle, can be sampled either in the restaurant or on the evocative terrace. Chef Davide Palluda combines his masterful innovation with local produce and game to provide customers with an incredible dining experience.
The vines of Nebbiolo and Arneis of the Trinità vineyard embrace the villa and the former farmhouse building. A visit to Villa Tiboldi is like a journey back in time. The slow and relaxing rhythms of the countryside will refresh body and soul. Yet the Villa offers all the amenities and luxurious comfort expected by today’s travelers. Blending the charm of yesterday with the tastes of today, our breakfast sun room and all of our guest rooms reflect a warm welcoming ambiance and a fine detail of design. At Villa Tiboldi we pay true attention to the wishes of our guests as we like to consider our guests to be our friends.
Piazza Risorgimento is the official name for this historic location, but for the people of Alba, it is known as Piazza del Duomo or Piazza del Municipio, but more importantly, it is known as the heart of the city and thus the heart of the Langhe. It is in this heart that the Ceretto family, together with the Chef Enrico Crippa, have decided to open their ambitious new venture, the restaurant Piazza Duomo. The idea behind the project was to open a prototype restaurant in which two different themes operate within the same space. La Piola, located on the first floor, will focus on traditional food and wine from the Langhe and Roero while upstairs, Piazza Duomo will be more international and allow Executive Chef Enrico Crippa to express his talent.
In 1973 Alberto di Grésy began vinifying his own wine: his objective was to produce wine with the best available technology while respecting tradition, and to transfer as much as possible of the character and personality of the terrain vineyard site, and varietal into the bottle.
Not having inherited our land through generations of winemakers, our vineyards were carefully selected. All of our vineyards have south, south-east or south-west exposure and the vines are mostly of old age (35-65 years). Only vines of substantial age are able to give mineralogy, longevity, complexity and terrain character to the wine. We only use younger vines to make three wines: Barbera Cà di Pian, Langhe Nebbiolo and Il Nero di Casanova.
