Welcome to Château Rives-Blanques, an independent, family-run estate of 30 ha. We are one of the few in the region specialising in hand-harvested white wines, which are bottled on the property. Aimery Sieur d’Arques is situated 25 km from Carcassonne. One of the leading wine organizations in the Languedoc region, Aimery Sieur d’Arques combines the latest wine producing technology with a healthy respect for tradition. Considered a pioneer in Languedoc Roussillon in terms of quality of production and wine-growing techniques, La Cave des Vignerons du Sieur d’Arques was one of the first wineries in the eighties to develop plot-based selection in its 2800 hectares of AOC vineyard.

The history of the House has been written over the centuries as an adventure of mankind, a testament to the passion of the men and women who have created it. It all began more than six generations ago at Saint-Hilaire, where the Tisseyre-Limouzy families began to cultivate their family vineyard, which soon flourished. In the beginning of the 20th century, Eugénie Limouzy became one of the first women in Languedoc to manage a vineyard, and to strive towards a qualitative method of cultivation.

Created in 1949, the cellar of Razès brings together 402 wine growers who manage more than 3300 ha of vines. The Cellar represents the wines of these growers as per a traditional cooperative. Today the Estate spreads over 25 hectares of sun drenched limestone hillsides on the Malepere Massif. Many different grapes thrive here like Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Sauvignon Blanc. Château Rayssac is located to the South of the Massif Central, on the sunny hillsides of the Montagne Noire, in sight of the Pyrenees, in what represents the heart of the Cabardès appellation. The most occidental vineyard of the Languedoc, the most oriental of the South-West, Cabardès is the only appellation to marry in equal proportions Atlantic varieties (Merlot, Cabernet and Cot) with Mediterranean varieties (Syrah and Grenache). This blend is the result of a dual climatic influence. The vineyards profit both from the Mediterranean sun exposure and the Atlantic hygrometry.

Ryan O’Connell and his parents founded O’Vineyards in 2004 when they settled down in the Cabardes intent on crafting the perfect wines for those big, long lunches “mom” had always cooked. In so doing, they constantly strive to blend the best techniques and attitudes (and drinking habits) of the new world with the refinement, wisdom and character of the old world. Varietals include Syrah, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon and they make a lot of blends as well as single-varietals.
