Next to the hotel in the winery’s premium wine barrel room, Viña Casa Silva has opened a restaurant and wine bar decorated in refined Chilean winery style. “Las Majadas de Colchagua” is a spectacular hacienda in the style of an old Chilean country house, yet updated with the facilities that the modern traveler expects. It is surrounded by a century-old park and is furnished with antiques as so as to resemble the beautiful manor house, restored and fully repaired, from the 1870′s.
Nestled among poplar-lined country fields and rolling hills lies one of the most special places to stay in Chile, the Hacienda Los Lingues, one of the oldest and best-preserved haciendas in Chile. In addition to fine lodging and gourmet food, it is possible to taste some of the 150 varieties of Chilean wines that are stored in our wine cellars.
The Casa Lapostolle Winery is located within the Apalta Valley vineyards (Santa Cruz, Colchagua, Chile), surrounded by a landscape that is magnificent and peaceful at the same time. One hundred and eighty hectares of surrounding vineyards, the residence is a paradise for wine lovers and people looking for superior lodging. Friendly hospitality defines the style of service and timeless, natural beauty the sense of place.
Regional Chilean Gastronomy served in an Ancient Bakery in Colchagua that was built in 1830. The original brick oven where bread was baked for 1500 farm workers is still the centerpiece. Specialty dishes such as Lamb from the coastal regions, Pickled Quail, Cebiche, shellfish, desserts & much more.
The menu features local Chilean specialties such as baby goat in wine, lamb, roast pork as well as other locally sourced meats and produce. Make sure to order at least one Pisco Sour, which is supposedly made from a secret family recipe. For those wishing to try out the local wines, the restaurant has a decent selection from the Colchugua Valley.
Built in the 1930′s and with extensive upgrading and renovations completed a few years ago, this delightful adobe house is now a small and friendly inn. The location is in Colchagua’s countryside, surrounded by vineyards.
