“Dievole-The enchanted valley”
 At Dievole, good wine is the right answer to the right question, whether for vineyard or wine cellar. A good wine is the perfect union of man and nature. Dievole is an enchanted valley and we are committed to finding the right people. All evaluations, from selecting mother vine stock and clones to vintage planning and innovation in vineyards and wine cellar, are determined by one single objective: uplifting standards in the hope of creating a good wine through character and quality.

Aspiring to perfection is second nature to us. Dievole viticulture dates back to the 11th century. The first step taken to cultivate this genetic legacy was to revisit the past found in the historical memory of the farming families. New masters of wine-growing were brought in to counter environmental uniformity and monotony. Its particolar type of terroir includes such ancient classics as Barsaglina, Aleatico, Foglia Tonda, Ciliegiolo, Prugnolo Gentile, Mammolo and Saragiolo. It also covers contemporary classics such as Canaiolo a Raspo Rosso, Malvasia Nera, Syrah, Petit Verdot and the various Sangiovese clones.

Part of the Villa Dievole Estate- a 4 star hotel and wine resort, the winery allows visitors to tour the estate and taste select samples of the great Tuscan wines and home pressed olive oils. Guided wine tasting tours are
from Monday to Saturday (around 1 hour long) with starting times Monday to Friday at 11.00 am / 2.00 pm / 3.45 pm / 5.30 pm.  Start times for Saturday and Sunday are at 11.00 am & 3.45 pm .

The guided tour with wine tasting, lasting around an hour, includes:
- a visit to the chapel and the historic cellar
- a tasting of our different wines with some traditional nibbles
- learn about the wine-growing and history of the Dievole Estate

It gives us tremendous pleasure to announce that we have a new VIP member of the Dievole team. We are delighted to inform our guests that we are joined by the world-renowned Tuscan author, Dario Castagno . A former tour guide, Dario lives within walking distance of our vineyards in Vagliagli; from his home here he wrote his three witty books “Too Much Tuscan Sun”, “A Day in Tuscany” and “Too Much Tuscan Wine”.

We invite you to join us for a tour of the cellars led by our expert Gianni who will guide you through the cellars, introducing you with great enthusiasm to all the products of our vineyard. Along the way, Dario will regale you with anecdotes and facts about the home of Chianti Classico.

Spending a few hours with us is a fascinating experience that can leave incredible lasting effects. This is an experience for anyone who wants to discover not just the history, but the very soul of this ancient and noble region.

The tour commences at 5.00 pm at the winery terrace where Dario and Gianni will have the pleasure of greeting you with a welcoming goccetto (a little drop). They will then charm you through a series of educational wine tastings in our cellars. At the end of the tour you can enjoy an aperitif with Dario, who will be happy to sign his book and answer your questions. On request, the tour can be followed by a dinner at the Tavolo dei Maestri di Vigna, prepared and served by our staff.
