Set along Napier’s Marine Parade with panoramic views from Cape Kidnappers to Mahia, Take Five Restaurant & Jazz Bar sits as one of the Six Sisters, (they survived the 1931 earthquake). It’s the bright yellow building and only five minutes walk from town.

With Live Jazz every Friday and Saturday. The dining is intimate, the emphasis being on giving the customer time to enjoy the food and wine experience say Proprietors Peter Greene and Lesley Kingston.

Take Five supports Hawke’s Bay with it’s extensive Wine list and uses NZ organic produce whenever possible, ensuring you should not be disappointed with the tastes and flavours. The Pacific Rim Cuisine also has Mediterranean influences and always offers NZ Lamb and Beef as well as freshly caught Hawke’s Bay Fish. A Vegetarian dish is always available and the Chef’s Pasta of the day can often be a vegetarian option. Our menu changes seasonally so you get the best of what is available.

Desserts vary with the fruits in season, but chocolate is always there in some form! Also the very popular Medley, lots of little tastes for those who just can’t make up their minds. Atomic Coffee is served for a wonderful finale. The upstairs dining area can also be used for private or corporate functions and in fact the whole venue makes for a superb setting for any occasion.

Local artists have their art for sale on the walls, displaying local scenes as well as impressions. Intimate wedding ceremonies have taken place by the splendid fireplace with either a glowing fire in the winter or fresh flowers in the summer.
