The Hotel Convento las Claras is located in province of Valladolid at a crossroads of roads and cultures, 56 kms from the city of Valladolid.

Peñafiel, the cradle of the Ribera de Duero, is in the center of the region and a focal point of the wines of Castille and León. The hotel Convento las Claras, is a 4 star complex on the banks of the Duratón river with views towards the majestic Peñafiel Medieval Castle .

Originally a convent for the Order of the Poor Claires built in 1606,the structure was renovated with great care and respect to the original structure preserving its paneling, moldings and other architectural features which are greater than 400 years old.

The building has been developed around the central patio of the Grand Cloister, today covered with a glass cupola and fitted out as a lounge area. What was once the chapel of the cloister is today an elegant restaurant and the refectory has been transformed into a conference and meeting room.
