The charming hotel, located in the heart of the town of Haro’s medieval district, is a fantastic base from which to explore the surrounding vineyards, castles and other sights of Rioja. The actual building is a former convent constructed in the 13th century. Recently renovations have transformed the convent into a 4 star hotel.

The Restaurant “LAS DUELAS”offers a various selection of dishes, that go perfectly with the Rioja cuisine, based on the premise of using local ingredients and wines to create dishes with perfect equilibrium between classicism and innovation.  Service is impressive and the atmosphere within the cloister of the old monastery brings you back in history. The Chef, Nales Rückauer, brings all of the pieces together into a true experience reminding diners through his cooking of  the years of experience and training he has had with famous Spanish chefs Luís Irízar, who in 1976 opened the Escuela de Hostelería del Hotel Euromar in Zarautz, then the first catering school in the Basque Country, and Pedro Subijana who received Spain’s National Prize for Gastronomy as the best chef in the country.
