The setting is unpretentious, the welcome is warm, the wines are grand: Aligoté, Chassagne and Puligny-Montrachet, Meursault, Pernand-vergelesses, Rully, Sétilles, Saint-Aubin, Volnay, Pommard and others.  Set on the second floor of the hotel, the restaurant is a cozy, comfortable place that makes everyone immediately feel at home. Guillaume Esmery or Gautier Romani will provide up to 14 fine wines from Olivier Leflaive’s cellar to be paired with Burgundian seasonal specialities as part of a tasting menu or ala carte. Each menu is concocted daily by the resident chefs’ Marie-Chantal and Florence. The restaurant has been going strong since 1995 with accolades from both local and tourists alike and was recently expanded to include the 13 hotel rooms. The winery dates back to 1735 and produces high quality red and white wines, all of which are vinified Puligny-Montrachet and Chablis grapes.

But at Olivier’s table, the visitor goes in deeper. Those who wish to know and understand what they are drinking will have the opportunity to work alongside our team of professionals and take part in the daily tasks in the vineyard or wine-cellar (according to the seasons of the year). Olivier opens up his private address book for guests identifying the best places in Burgundy to eat, the most hospitable hotel rooms and the cellars of vigneron friends. Experienced wine-waiter Guillaume Esmery ensures that every tasting is fun, memorable and unique. You may hone your skills and analyse the colors, aromas and taste sensations, as the wines are poured. There are two tasting menus offered. The “Degustation Selection” with 7 white wines served alongside a meal and the “Grande Degustation” with 15 wines including 3 reds. The menu changes according to the season to take advantage of the bounty from local farms.

Combined tours can be arranged: Hospices de Beaune, the Wine Museum in Beaune, the barrel-cooperage Damy in Meursault, the Château du Clos de Vougeot…  There are also bicycle tours and floating above the vineyards in a balloon !

The building dates from the 17th century, nestlied at the heart of the village of Puligny-Montrachet. An interior garden and a spacious lounge are invitations to draw corks and taste. But what really defines the character of the place are the 13 spacious, light-filled bedrooms. These have been designed as intimate, comfortable spaces, where flat-screen TV, internet-access, DVD-players, air-conditioning and inside shutters are standard.
