Etna Wine, belonging to the brothers Michele and Mario Grasso, is situated in a hillside location on the slopes of Etna, at km 191+900 of the State Road no. 120 in the district of Passopisciaro in the municipality of Castiglione di Sicilia, a little town with a well-preserved typical mediaeval layout. The territory is divided between the EtnaPark, the NebrodiPark and the Alcantara reserve. The perfect compromise between mountains and seaside, the suggestive resorts of Taormina and Giardini Naxos and the tourist port of Riposto are within easy reach just 25 km to the east.

Having dinner at our restaurant, you will experience and savour traditional Sicilian cooking prepared with care and genuineness.  A wine-growing enterprise with a tradition and roots that go back four generations, the estate extends over approximately ten hectares of land planted with vines. The wines produced are of great character, such as the three ETNA ROSSO DOC wines and a table white, and are offered to the consumer with a truly exceptional price-quality ratio.

The setting is of an unrivalled beauty, dominated by an English-style nineteenth-century mansion, and three completely renovated buildings that evoke a return to the past. The accommodation offer is enhanced by numerous facilities, such as a spacious car park for caravans and coaches, a bowling green, a playground and a small football field, as well as a museum with over 130 exhibits of exceptional historic value that bring back to life the old systems for the production of oil and wine.

Comprised in the itineraries of the Etna wine and flavors road (Strada del vino e dei sapori dell’Etna), the rural holiday center can also be easily reached by a delightful trip in the Circumetnea (the Etna train). Our swimming pool, have a large solarium and panoramic view of Etna Mount, nestling in the green vineyards offers to yours guess a wonderful relax.  Everyone of the seven apartments, (two handicap accessible) possess kitchens, cooking corner, independent bathrooms and bedrooms.
Etna Wine a is newly founded Agritourism resort deeply rooted in the past. Set at 700 m on the sea level. A “panoramic terrace” between the mount Etna and the Alcantara Valley. Settled in the lush vegetation of the vineyards the Villa has been completely remodeled to retain the beauty of it’s traditional architecture.

In the estate there is a museum with more than one hundred thirty artifacts, a large hall for conferences and tasting of Etna DOC wine and typical regional products, also organized visits to the estate’s vineyards and historical wine cellar with thirty-two thousand liter wooden wine barrels. On the outside there are bowls and football fields, playground, swimming pool, ample parking for bus, car and area camper with relative services: water, grit trap, electricity, illumination, toilet, shower.

In October guests can participate in the grape harvest process and follow the step by step operations of grape preparation and fermentation using traditional and antique methods.
