How could anyone sum up in just a few words how blissfully happy you feel as soon as you enter the gate of the château? You first let your mind delicately sink in some peaceful well-being, quiet content, and even a form of euphoria. You are now set to experience the ecstasy, delight and satisfaction the domaine has to offer.

The Château l’Ange Gardien is definitely a unique vineyard: it feels like the place has a soul. Is it due to the reassuring presence of our guardian angel? Sat with his forefinger on his mouth, it seems like he is inviting you to let yourself go and fully enjoy the unforgettable moments you are about to live. Everything is set for your greatest pleasure: a warm welcome and the guided tour of the fermenting room and cellars. And what about tasting at least ten of the still and sparkling wines and a stunning crème de cassis ?

The wines of the Château l’Ange Gardien estate are exclusively made from our own vines. Our vineyard is mainly planted on the “Côte de Beaune”, it spreads over the following places: Auxey-Duresses , Beaune, Chorey-les Beaune, Ladoix-Serrigny,Meursault,Pommard,Sainte-Marie-La Blanche, Savigny-les Beaune and on the “Côte de Nuits” with Corgoloin. The vines are planted on a 10,000 vine plants per hectare basis with the typical Burgundy grape varieties: Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and “Golden Grains” Aligoté.

The vine growing is carried out following the sustainable agriculture principles without any use of chemical weed killers or fertilizers. As we look for a high concentration in our wines, short pruning is a common practise and manual harvesting is done as late as possible in the season when the grapes are ripe enough, almost overripe on some occasions. The output of our ten-hectare domain rarely exceeds 36,000 bottles of complex and dense wines. Our wines are vinified, matured and bottled on the Château premises.
