Wine and Food Tours in the Languedoc

Discover the fabulous wines, vineyards, food, history and culture of the Languedoc on our luxury Wine Tours led by Master of Wine, Juliet Bruce Jones. A perfect way to get a flavour of the Languedoc. Visit three top wine domaines, chat to producers and taste their wines. Stroll through vineyards and soak up the views before tasting amongst the vines. Linger over a three course lunch with fine wine in a good local restaurant. A fun day as part of your holiday, perhaps as a break from lying by the pool!

Juliet Bruce Jones is a Master of Wine with 18 years experience of buying, selling, and teaching about wine. As a wine educator, she has enthused countless wine lovers both in the UK and New Jersey, USA where she ran a wine school. She worked a Vintage for Cakebread Cellars in Napa and has also worked as a wine buyer for the prestigious Wine Society in the UK before moving to the Languedoc in 2004. She now lives in the Minervois, exporting wines from top quality domaines and sharing her passion for Languedoc wines with visitors to the region.

The Languedoc-Roussillon is a staggeringly beautiful part of France, with the snow-capped mountains of the Pyrenees providing a dramatic backdrop to rolling vineyards and charming medieval villages. It is a large region which extends along the sandy beaches of the Mediterranean coast from the Spanish border to the Camargue and inland to the foothills of the Pyrenees and the Massif Central.

Vines everywhere
It is also the biggest wine region in the world with vineyards as far as the eye can see, stretching along the plains near the coast and up on to the ruggedly steep slopes inland where wild herbs grow amongst the vines. The vine thrives in the warm Mediterranean sun and grows on a variety of soils resulting in a varied terroir or growing environment for the vine.
