Established since 1984 in the village of Vergisson in the Mâconnais district in the southern Burgundy region, our operation currently covers some 9 hectares (22 acres), 6 of which are devoted to Pouilly-Fuissé, and the rest to appellation Mâcon. The main variety of vine is Chardonnay for the various cuvees of Pouilly-Fuissé, Mâcon-Bussières and Mâcon-Vergisson. The small cuvee of Mâcon-Vergisson “Les Bruyères” is made from the Gamay vine. The age of the vineyard ranges from 20 to 65 years. There are about 8000 individual plants per hectare (3200 per acre).

The Domaine Drouin NEW CELLAR
Our new cellar is finished and receives the new vintage 2008 in the oak barrels. We have 94 oak barrels of 212 liters for the different cuvées of Pouilly-Fuissé, Mâcon Vergisson and Mâcon rouge Les Bruyères ; and 24 barrels of 500 liters for the Mâcon Bussières.
