Our family domaine is situated in the heart of the Cote de Beaune. About 30% of the output from the vineyard is white wine and the rest red. As ever, our objective is to produce quality wines linked to size of yield and informed through being close to the soil and sensitive to the seasons. We make our wines as naturally as possible. This continues from the constant and careful watching as the grapes grow through to the complex nurturing of the grapes as we move towards the process of making the wine.

Each year the grape harvest is achieved entirely through picking by hand. During this convivial period we nevertheless always demand the highest standards of grape care from the pickers who thus contribute to the overall quality of the vintage. We are always encouraged to make even better wine when we receive accolades such as the Medals from the wine fairs in Paris and Macon and our entry in the Guide Hachette under the heading Coups de Coeurs. 

For six generations now members of the Nouveau family have been making wine, and since September 2004 we have been joined by our son-in-law Stephane, who will help us continue our passion for quality wine making. As a family enterprise we are also watched over by Charles Nouveau who, at 88 years old, represents the fourth generation of winemakers and brings huge experience to the process.

In the heart of the Hautes Cotes of Burgundy, the gite is situated in a vineyard in a beautiful and very rural part of France. With many towns and villages close by, including Beaune, Dijon and Chalon-sur Saone, there are many activities for the holidaymaker interested in exploring the area. The gite accommodates up to 6 people and is open all the year.

Description: 3 bedrooms, two bathrooms, 2 WCs, kitchen, dining room, sitting room/lounge, courtyard, garden (100m2), games room and private parking. Beds: 4 single and 1 double
Sheets for hire/Household equipment includes fully equipped kitchen including cooker, fridge, washing machine, dishwasher and microwave oven. Also multimedia and TV.

Heating: Central Heating and open fire/Garden: Bar BQ and deckchairs. We have wonderful views from the gite and can offer you tours of the vineyard and tasting in our caves. There are many footpaths for rambling leaving directly from the gite and beautiful country side all around. The perfect rest from the rat race to help you rediscover quiet and calm.
