Blanville is a wine estate in Saint-Pargoire in France’s Languedoc region producing great terroir wines. The Blanville winery is adjacent to the Château Rieutort, where our Bed & Breakfeast awaits you.  Languedoc, large amphitheater bordering the Mediterranean sea, is the biggest wine-growing region in the world. Already renowned in the time of the Greeks and Romans, this vineyard witnessed the origins of modern vine growing and oenology. It is nowadays the birthplace of France’s new great wines

Blanville is a dream come true: an estate in the Languedoc region that produces great wines. In 1997 our family left the comforts of Parisian life to embark on this passionate, yet unpredictable adventure with the help of a few friends who accepted to invest in our dream.

The winery, Chais de Blanville, nestles up the Château de Rieutort, an elegant eighteenth century castle surrounded by its vineyard of vins de pays. It cultivates 47 hectares, 30 of which are on AOC soil in the Grés de Montpellier zone. All our grapes are vinified in our winery.

Blanville’s vineyards are situated within the “Coteaux du Languedoc- Grés de Montpellier” and “Vins de pays de la Vicomté d’Aumelas” appellations. They cover three different terroirs on the outskirts of Saint-Pargoire, all of which enjoy a great variety of soils, sunlight exposure and surroundings: We make the wines we enjoy. They have a great aromatic richness, retaining the fruit’s nature, and they are silky, fine and balanced, the structure remaining present without being overwhelming.

Furthermore, most wine lovers no longer have the possibility of expecting their wines to be aged in a traditional cellar. This is why we strive to create wines with great potential to improve with age, but which can be consumed right out of our cellar.

At Rieutort nature and wine are the order of the day. Rieutort is nested in a 2.5 hectares wooded park surrounded by 60 hectares of vineyard on the edge of the River Hérault. An elegant 18th century building backs onto the winery. This delightful setting, a picture of charm and peace, is an ideal spot for a stay in a guest room. Rieutort is centrally located 10 minutes from the picturesque medieval town of Pezenas with numerous leisure and cultural activities very close-by. With its two double-bedded guest rooms and its two en-suite rooms, the Château Rieutort de Blanville offers a lodging of charm, a true haven of intimacy and serenity, in a family environment.

Each room (double beds) looks on to the park and has its own private bathroom/WC. The double suite is completed by a 100 sm terrace with a spectacular view of the Cevennes and the Estate vineyard. Rieutort is not an hotel. It’s a home open to you and where you will feel welcome, the home of the owners of Blanville Wine Estate. Blanville produces high-quality wines ( red and white), in particular Château Haut-Blanville, regularly rated amongst the best brands in Languedoc.
