Burgundy Discovery provides personal, small group wine tasting tours of select wine cellars and vineyards in the region. You will meet individual growers who use traditional methods, tour their cellars and taste their wines. They help you discover some of the secrets of Burgundy and explain the wines, terroir, winemaking and history of this world-famous region.

Tours are for everyone who enjoys wine. You taste a variety of regional, village and premier Cru red and white wines during a typical relaxing and enjoyable day. Tours are personal, informal and informative. They are conducted in English with a maximum of six people whom we chauffeur in our air-conditioned Land Rover Discovery. Tours run throughout the year, except Sundays and French public holidays.

CLASSIC ITINERARY:  Discovering the most renowned vineyards of the world! . The Pinot noir and Chardonay’s Kingdom.  For the real wine enthusiast! This informative and commented tour offers a whole day in each of the Côte de Beaune, Côte Chalonnaise and Côte de Nuits. On each of the three touring days we visit three typical Burgundy family-owned winegrowers, tasting around 45-50 different wines and lunch at different restaurants.

During our tour and tastings we drive through world-famous wine villages and take a close look at the vines. Throughout the three days our guides share their passion and knowledge of Burgundy wine. You meet winegrowers, tour their ancient cellars and, of course, taste wonderful wines.

Day 1 : Arrival in Beaune
Dependind on your arrival time, possibility of a late afternoon tasting You will enjoy walking in the old streets of Beaune. Explore its 15c ramparts, its Hospice founded in 1443 as a hospital for the poor, and its 13th century Basilica Notre Dame. Dinner in a gourmet restaurant

Return to your hotel in Beaune late afternoon. Dinner tonight on your own, with our list of suggested restaurants

Day 2 : The Cote de Beaune - “The Chardonnay Kingdom”
Our guide will meet you at your hotel. We tour through picturesque villages such as Pommard, Puligny Montrachet, Chassagne Montrachet and Meursault and we drive through some of the world’s most famous white wine vineyards. We will taste a cross-section of the cote de Beaune’s best white and red Appellations.

Day 3 : The Cote Chalonnaise“A Burgundy best kept secret “
In the south of Burgundy, the Côte Chalonnaise is one of Burgundy’s best kept secrets. Appellations such as Montagny, Givry, Mercurey and Rully less well-known than some of the other Burgundy wines, yet wonderful and expressive wines. We drive through the rolling hills with vineyards interspersed with beautiful villages with their different architectural styles and Roman churches. Back to Beaune in time for a late afternoon visit to the Hospices! dinner in gourmet restaurant.

Day 4 : The Cote de Nuits – “King of Pinot Noir”
A beautiful days drive among the most renowned red wine vineyards of Burgundy. We drive through the vineyards of Nuits St George, Vosne Romanée and Chambolle Musigny and stop by the Romanée Conti vineyard (the most expensive wine in Burgundy!). We see the great Grand Cru vineyards and taste some of Burgundy’s top red Appellations.
