Winery is a brilliant concept that includes a wine bar, wine shop, restaurant and cafe rolled into one location. There are several locations throughout Argentina, but the location in Mendoza is of particular noteworthiness. As many of the restaurants in Argentina do not open for dinner until after 10pm, those foreigners looking for a late afternoon/early evening nibble should stop by “The Winery” to ease their hunger and thirst. The cafe next to the restaurant has a menu listing dozens of tapas to go with a glass of espumante, red or white wine of your choosing. The restaurant features a more detailed dinner menu complete with all of the traditional Argentinian grilled cuts of beef, but don’t be shy about exploring their seafood or even grilled baby goat (a local specialty).

The extensive wine list made up of both local and international selections, both by the glass and bottle, allowing customers to enjoy several small plates paired with the perfect wine. The staff is eager and helpful if you are in need of a suggestion. Most of the food is prepared in either Argentinian or a Mediterranean style, but regardless of what you choose, you will be pleased with the quality and freshness.
