Francesco Barbera Ristorante is a brilliant idea.  A restaurant placed in the heart of Mendoza with beautiful gardens, a VIP lounge and a single wine cellar. Named “Francesco” after my father, whose ability to accompany my mother’s insatiable strength, allowed this family business to grow up. His kindness, love, loyalty, stability and admiration have been the support of “Maria Teresa’s dreams” for more than 50 years.

María Teresa’s 57 years of Italian gastronomy in Mendoza sets not only her, but Francesco Ristorante apart from any other in the city.  She began to work together with Nonna Fernanda Torresi de Corradini almost 50 years ago when they both arrived as Italian immigrants with little more than their children, their bravery on her shoulders and a dedication to hard work in 1948. Their solid purpose of being successful made them the first people to offer Italian food in Mendoza. Nothing occurs by chance. As a wine can be traced by the process it took to get it from the vine to the bottle, food is the same.

Francesco Barbera Ristorante is the exclusive restaurant of the Barbera family where María Teresa puts her skills and passion as well as all of her creativity and experience into making your dining experience a true pleasure. Entrees include lamb, veal, pork, salmon, local trout, cod and more. Appetizers feature Argentinian specialities such as sweetbreads, sauted shrimp and mushrooms in garlic, various cheese and salami platters, antipastos featuring all sorts of Italian specialities, bruschettas and beef carpaccio. Above all, make sure to save room for one of ten specially homemade desserts.
