Club Tapiz is located in an estate built in 1890 and surrounded by 10 hectares of vineyards. The house was restored preserving its Renaissance-style villa structure and maintaining vintage elements, such as the patio and pinewood floors, the connection with its surroundings and enthralling views of the Andean Range. On June 2006, the building was declared “Historical, Architectural and Tourist Heritage” of Maipú Department.

A few meters away from the house there is an old winery that produces artisan wines. Club Tapiz welcomes guests traveling on business or for pleasure. It offers a unique experience in an exclusive site amidst mountains and the taste of good wines.

The winery next door is Fincas Patagonicas, considered one of the most technologically advanced wineries in Argentina and marries Argentina’s best vineyards with winemaking expertise. Fincas Patagonicas vineyards are located in the Valle de Uco and Agrelo regions, province of Mendoza. Mt. Plata (6100 meters) and Tupungato volcano (6800 meters), overlook the state-of-the-art Fincas Patagónicas Winery providing a magnificent scenery. The signature wine of Fincas Patagónicas is Malbec. One of the five Bordeaux blending grapes, Malbec has flourished in Argentina since the middle 1800s, producing intense wines of great value. Fincas Patagónicas’s Tapiz Malbec was recognized as the “Best overall Malbec” by Wine & Spirits in its annual buying guide for 2000 and the Malbec 2002 was listed as Best Value by Wine Spectator in 2004.

One of the most talked about features of Club Tapiz are the free wine tastings each night. This allows guests to mingle while enjoying wine, cheese, and conversation with travelers from all over the world whether on the terrace or in front of the large fire place.
