The Winery is located in an easy to access area, just 25 minutes away from the city, and it is opened throughout the year from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Visits are held every hour.
Bodega Norton has a Visitors Center that offers guided tours to the Winery. Such visits are conducted by highly trained personnel that give information both in Spanish and English.. The tours will teach you about the 110 year history of the winery as well as the evolution of the wine industry within our country. Due to its location in the hub of Luján de Cuyo, one of the most highlighted zones for vine growing, every visit is a special opportunity to learn about the wine creation process, from the vineyard to the bottle. Noron is known for their Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec and various other varietals.
You can also enjoy our famous gardens or sit at our wine bar terrace to gaze upon the view of our vineyards while tasting our different wines. Moreover, during spring time and summer months, lunch can be arranged in our gardens. Visits can be made both on an individual or group basis, organized depending on their duration or topic. The restaurant serves both lunch and dinner (with reservations).
Bodega Norton was established when in 1895, an English Engineer named Edmund J. P. Norton planted the first vines, importing them from France, thereby giving origin to what was the first winery in the area.
Almost 100 years later, Austrian businessman, Mr. Gernot Langes–Swarovski, travelled to Mendoza and experienced the same fascination for the region’s beauty, the warmth of its people and the excellent conditions for vine growing. Supporting his decision in his intuition and in the fact that he was convinced of the high potential the vitiniculture represented in Argentina, in 1989, he acquired the Winery with the following firm aim: to make wines recognized worldwide for their quality.
