In 1998 we fulfilled a dream by founding Achaval-Ferrer based on two sound principles: the search for the highest quality in all of our products and respect for the terroir. We interpreted that Argentina’s quality potential could be pushed to levels in line with the extreme personality of its soil, its plentiful sunshine and the rairty of its ancient ungrafted vineyards, almost an exclusivity in today’s world ov viticulture. We are now glad to belong to this project and to share with you our passion for wine.

Located along the Mendoza River with extraordinary views, this winery offers some of the world’s highest ranked Malbecs.   In a November 2007 Robb Report review of the Top 100 Vintners, Achaval - Ferrer is described as, “Established in 1998, this partnership between a group of Argentinean businessmen, led by Santiago Achaval Becu, and Italian winemaker Roberto Cipresso, who makes the La Fiorita Brunello di Montalcino, has become something of an overnight legend among wine aficionados. Though a young producer, Achaval - Ferrer’s Finca Altamira vineyard contains Malbec vines up to 80 years old; the sandy soil and high altitude (3,600 feet above sea level) result in dense, darkly concentrated wines with sweet, smoky, herbal notes.
