In 1996, winemakers Roberto and Patrizia Damonte bought a dilapidated 18th-century villa near Alba, in Italy’s Piedmont region. By 2003, they’d transformed it into Villa Tiboldi, a lovely hotel with a well-placed pool looking out on a steep hill of vineyards. The 10 rooms, some with ceiling murals, are stocked with provincial furniture and curtains, and bed linens in an array of patterned fabrics.

The vines of Nebbiolo and Arneis of the Trinità vineyard embrace the villa and the former farmhouse building. A visit to Villa Tiboldi is like a journey back in time. The slow and relaxing rhythms of the countryside will refresh body and soul. Yet the Villa offers all the amenities and luxurious comfort expected by today’s travelers. Blending the charm of yesterday with the tastes of today, our breakfast sun room and all of our guest rooms reflect a warm welcoming ambiance and a fine detail of design. Our restaurant is located in one of the old stables and represents an assemblage of old architecture and modern design. Our chef, Stefano Paganini, prepares carefully selected fresh daily food from the Roero region, inspired by the traditional cuisine with a blend of today`s taste, featuring a celebrated balance of colour and delicious fresh flavors. Our wine list is packed with the best local and Piemonte wines.

Villa Tiboldi is located in Canale, 15 km north of Alba, 30 km west of Asti and 50 km south of Turin.  Coming from the autostrada A21 exit Asit west (Asti ovest) and take an emmidiate right turn in direction to San Damiano d’Asti, then keep following the signs in direction Canale/Alba. When arriving in the center of Canale take the road in direction Santo Stefano Roero. The Villa is located on the hill on the right hand side of the road shortly after leaving Canale in direction Santo Stefano.
