The restaurant is located in an old 16th century gallery, where there used to be a small market. It was born in the twenties and at the time it was called ‘Old Tavern’. Over the past few years it has expanded with the typical Florentine cuisine, based on country traditions. Here you can find ‘the original Florentine steak’, the restaurant’s pride. Other local dishes are available too, such as the ‘Florentine tripe’ and an assortment of dishes made from the freshest local produce, cheeses and meats.

At the Giannino we organize any kind of happening, from holiday meals to spectatular wine tasting parties featuring the best of Tuscan wines.  Giannino is a recipient of Wine Spectators Award of excellence due to their extensive list of local and Italian wines. What makes the restaurant so special is that if you enjoy a wine during your meal, you can purchase it from the restaurant or have it shipped to your residence.
