The farm is located in the district of Castelnuovo Berardenga in the historic area of Monteaperti, which witnessed on September 1260 the ferocious battle between the Republics of Siena and Florence. The estate is managed by the owners Gioia and Filippo Cresti. The property is about 80 hectares and has about 13 hectares of specialized vineyard where historic wines of Chianti, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon are cultivated. The land predominantly consists of a sandy soil and is about 230 mt above sea level. The area, known for Chianti Classico, does not dissapoint on the Carpineta Fontalpino farm.

The winery produces award winning Chinati Classico, Toscana Do ut Des and Toascana Dofana. The Chinati is 100% Sangiovese 100% grapes with an intense red color with perfumes of cherry and currant.  Perfect for every day. The Montaperto is a blend of Sangiovese, Alicante and Gamay grapes and is known to be perfect when served with lasagnas, roast of pig or even pheasant. The Do Ut Des wine is a blend of Sangiovese, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The last of their wines is named Dofana and is a blend of Sangiovese and Petit Verdot. These Super Tuscan style wines have won awards from all over the world and were recently written up in the Oct. 31, 2008 issue of Wine Spectator.
