We have a US telephone number for your convenience, the courses are in Tuscany, Italy near Florence (Villa Pandolfini), taught in English by native Italian chefs.
We believe in traditional Tuscan food, original recipes, and a good time. Learning through fun and immersing yourself in a historic setting is definitely the best way to take a Taste of Tuscany home with you. All of our chefs are native Tuscans and speak English. Even if they didn’t it’s amazing what you can get across using hand gestures, a pot, a knife, some ingredients, lots of laughs and a good bottle of wine. One thing that visitors to Tuscany don’t ever have trouble understanding is the passion that Italians have for living well. A huge part of this relates directly to time spent in the kitchen, cooking with family members, making countless jars of ‘salsa di pomodoro’ in the summer that involves the young and old and the laughs around the tables during the VERY long meals… these things can only be experienced here.
We have been specialists in Italian tourism for 20 years, from renting villas, to organizing various activities and tours for travellers to Tuscany, to weddings and events. A huge part of any Italian experience is obviously the food and wine and the traditions that go hand in hand with it. Over the years we have come to really love and appreciate the gastronomical part of Tuscany’s wonderful character and sharing what we know with you is honestly the cherry on the cake! Six years ago we started ‘Good Tastes of Tuscany’ offering custom dinners shared with the Villa Pandolfini family. It was really just for fun and we never did think it would develop into what it has become today. From single day cooking classes to multi day courses and even a ’7 Day Gastronomical Adventure’ which is the best way for anyone that loves food and wine to experience and enjoy the best of Tuscany. To experience things that everyday tourists never could. Like the truffle hunt in the autumn…. following the ‘tartufaio’ and his specially trained dogs into the misty wood in the hope to find the little nuggets which are more valuable than gold!! Or the visit to the cheese factory where mouthwatering pecorino and ricotta are made or to an olive oil tasting at the actual mill where the olives are crushed.
Our team consists of an enology professor for the wine classes, various Tuscan chefs, Massimo a native Tuscan and the staff of the organization.
“Good Tastes of Tuscany” wants you to experience the best that living in Tuscany can provide. Engage your senses as you are exposed to fine local Tuscan wines with our wine class, “Wines of Tuscany”, which will allow you to sample many fine wines from this region. If you are interested in combining your love of fine wine with a Tuscan cooking course, we will be glad to put together a package that will surely bring you pleasure.

Italy, a country of great diversity, is made up of twenty provinces. Each has a very unique personality, with dialect, customs, traditions, architecture and of course food and wine that vary greatly from region to region. From the hot, dry south to the cool alpine foothills, the regional cuisines are as varied as the climates. The golden hills of saffron in the Abruzzi lend a zesty spice to local risotto, while the bay of Naples is renowned for its frutti di mare and mozzarella di bufala. Visitors to Tuscany can sample rustic delicacies like truffles and porcini mushrooms in the autumn, hearty soups,or asparagus risotto in the spring. The Good Tastes of Tuscany can be found in any season.
We offer a well versed program of culinary delights with three different cooking courses, from single day classes “A First Taste of Tuscany”, which is our most popular introductory class to authentic Tuscan cuisine. For the gourmand looking to expand their repertoire, try “An Italian Immersion”, our advanced Tuscan cooking class. For those looking for the entire culinary experience, our “Bella Toscana” is a customized two or three day program.
Whether it’s a single day experience or a week long cooking holiday, Good Tastes of Tuscany seeks to provide you with an unforgettable experience that you will cherish for years to come.
