At the General’s Daughter we feature contemporary cuisine utilizing seasonal ingredients. We use our network of local farmers, fisherman and foragers to capture some of Sonoma’s best quality ingredients that inspire a creative menu, presented in the elegant and comfortable surroundings of one of Sonoma’s most historic homes.

The award-winning wine list is designed to reflect our exceptional cuisine and celebrates both California’s wealth of great wines and the international heritage of wine culture. Guests will enjoy a substantial variety of small production wines, and wines of great value at any price point. Our certified sommelier is available to assist you with your selection.

The General’s Daughter offers a full bar and a selection of seasonally inspired house cocktails. The full dining menu is available to bar guests.

We like wine: the intrigue of a new varietal, the new expression of an old varietal friend. Our list is designed for play. We give much thought (and taste bud research) to offering bottles that our guests have yet to know, yet to try, or having tried and found a favorite, just can’t shake the craving for more. We stay primarily in California, but we reach beyond the Valley & State to find examples of the ancestry of Californian wine and for one purely self indulgent reason: Jim & Bettie love Italian wines; Preston believes that just as a balanced bite of food must have sweet to compliment the other base flavors (bitter, acid, salt and umami) - a list must have sweet to round its composition; Nichole can’t get enough of the grape blend; and then there is our mutual affinity for that whimsical Pinot Noir. Because we are always on the hunt for the next great taste, our list is always changing and expanding.
