Chef John Howie’s Seastar Restaurant and Raw Bar opened in the Spring of 2002 to incredible accolades and reviews. Since the opening Seastar has received high praise and awards from Wine Spectator, FOOD & WINE, Sunset, and KING 5 Evening Magazine just to name a few.

Seastar is brought to you by renowned chef John Howie, formerly of Seattle’s Palisade Restaurant. Seastar provides guests with an amazing array of freshly prepared seafood, great steaks, poultry, pastas and raw bar items. Having been recognized for three years running with the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence in 2003, 2004 and 2005. It was our goal to have Seastar”s wine list and Sommelier team acheive the next level of recognition. Chef John Howie is pleased to announce that in 2006 Erik Liedholm and the Seastar Wine Program was recognized by The Wine Spectator with the Wine Spectator Best of Award of Excellence.

The Seastar wine program has been recognized by Wine Enthusiast with their Award of Unique Distinction in 2004 and 2005.

Seastar wine director and sommelier Erik Liedholm was awarded Sommelier of the Year by the Washington WIne Commission in 2005 and received the Walter Clore Honorarium in 2006. Seastar has also been receognized by the Washington Wine Commission with their Award of Distinction in 2003, 2004, 2005, and 2006.
