McPhees is a well-known and loved central coast restaurant with the loyal clientelle to prove it. Always mentioned as one of the more affordable and enjoyable places for wine country visitors, McPhees’ Grill in Templeton is located just off Highway 101, not far from Paso Robles.

The lunch menu features starters, salads, sandwiches and a few “lunch plates” such as Jambalaya Pasta with chicken, shrimp and andouille sausage, BBQ ribs, Macadamia Crusted Salmon with ginger sesame vinaigrette, Asian slaw and spicy cucumbers and Grilled Fresh Fish Tostada with three salsas, lemon slaw, black beans and rice.

Dinners include many of the same dishes as the lunch menu and are joined by a variety of seafood and meat specials, each with its own flare, including Ancho Chile Apricot Jam Glazed Double Cut Pork Chop with sweet potato fries and Grilled Herb Marinated Lamb Porterhouse Chop with grilled whiskey fennel sausage, jumbo cannellini beans, fingerling potatoes & drizzled with mint basil oil.

The brew and wine list is as well priced and affordable as the food.
