California’s Shenandoah Valley has long been recognized as one of the finest locations for growing the Zinfandel grape. At Stonehouse Vineyards & Winery, the age-old craft of winemaking is used to produce wines that reflect the grapes and soils in the heart of the Sierra Foothills.

2004 “Legacy” Cabernet Sauvignon

This Ultra-Premium bottling of 2004 Cab is our benchmark blend of this “King of Reds.” Handcrafted throughout the winemaking process, and bottled in honor of the late Gerald E. Shultz, whose legacy lives on, this wine was put together by selecting individual barrels from each of the three vineyard blocks—Matthew, Morgan, and Mikayla—named after Gerald’s grandchildren. Opening with big black cherry and hints of anise, this powerfully rich wine has flavors of ripe red fruit, cassis, white chocolate and spice; and a massive, yet velvety and refined, tannin structure, along with nuances of toasty oak and vanillin characters. Enjoy now or cellar 7 to 10 years.
