Nestled against the Sierra Foothills, in the heart of California’s scenic Gold Rush Country, Ironstone Vineyards will surprise and delight you with a winery that places as much emphasis on the natural beauty and history of our surroundings, as we do on the quality of our wines.

Tantalize your senses and explore our award-winning wines in our Tasting Room and Gourmet Delicatessen, rustic and elegant with its monumental 42-foot stone fireplace and historic oak bar. Wind your way through The Heritage Museum and Jewelry Shoppe , where fine jewelry and objects d’art are intertwined with a collection of gold rush treasures, including a rare, one of a kind, forty-four pound Crystalline Gold Leaf Specimen - the largest in the world!

A state-of-the-art wine production facility, built in the style of a 19th century gold stamp mill, the facility and grounds alike are peppered throughout with antiques and artifacts from days gone by, including the artfully restored Alhambra Theatre Pipe Organ. Ironstone Vineyards also houses a Culinary Exhibition Center, an Outdoor Amphitheatre , Wine Aging Caverns , Meeting and Banquet Facilities , and fourteen acres of Spectacular Lakeside Gardens.

Ironstone Vineyards is so much more than a winery. Family-owned and family-oriented, there is always something interesting happening at Ironstone, from complimentary tours and wine tasting, to cooking demonstrations, silent movies, holiday brunches, concerts, and gold panning for children of all ages.

Hospitality is our pride at Ironstone Vineyards, and inside the Tasting Room and Delicatessen, our friendly staff is always happy to explain the origins and characteristics of each varietal when you “belly up to the tasting room bar,” for a complimentary sampling of our award-winning wines.

Built in 1907, by the New Brunswick Bowling Ball Company in New York, the tasting room bar sailed around Cape Horn to its original location, the A.J. Bumps Bar in Freeport, a small port town where incoming ships could avoid the astronomical levies being imposed in the larger, nearby port of Sacramento. The bar’s rich oak was seasoned with many a tale of woe and happiness at A.J. Bumps, until the landmark location closed and it was brought to Ironstone in 1992.

Gourmet sandwiches on freshly-baked breads, hot daily specials, salads, and home-made desserts await you in our Delicatessen. Dine alongside the 42-foot tall fireplace, on one of the patios that overlook our famous gardens, or allow us to prepare a picnic for you to enjoy amongst the oaks in our Lakeside Park.

Throughout the Tasting Room and Delicatessen, you will find wine, epicurean delights, and food-related items, as well as clothing and great gift ideas for any occasion. Be sure to try the reserve wines, apple wine and some of the other delectible treats that are only available for purchase in the tasting room.
